Born in Bomie Tongo fields to parents – Alhaji Brima Daramy(Bee Dee) and Madam Bintu Daramy(Yea Bintu)
Amadu Daramy studied Journalism at Fourah Bay College – University of Sierra Leone and attended several workshops and awarded certificates in Journalism. He was National Organizing Secretary of Sierra Leone
Association of Journalists (SLAJ)-2008-2010 with BBC Umaru Fofana as SLAJ President. Prior to, he was the Organizing
Secretary of the Sports Writers Association of Sierra Leone (SWASAL). He has travelled widely to attend conferences on
Reproductive Health, sports and communications among others.
He works for the Arc of Prince Georges County as Job Trainer Supervisor/ Renoxx Care Services In Maryland.
He is currently enrolled at Strayer UniversityTakoma Park, Washington DC pursuing Master of Science in Health
Services Administration with a concentration in Public Health Management after the Degree of Bachelor of Business
The administration was awarded to him in June 2019.
